What is the Goddess Project?
The Goddess Project was born from Melissa's desire to honor local women making a difference in the community and to support the Adams County Arts Council. The Goddesses were nominated by other locals and given a photo session with Melissa who adorned them in Goddess Costumes, swords, crowns, and jewels. They each received copies of their images. A celebration was held at the reception hall of the art council where the pictures were beautifully displayed in ornate gold frames along with Bios of each honoree. Food was sponsored by Dr. Smitha Nair and Music By Linda M Toki. The event was empowering moment and a testament to how art, community, and connection are meaningful building blocks of a better future.
